Welcome to The Wee Ruffled Feathers Club - a space for women to support women as we navigate our internal stormy weather. Kristin Scott Thomas' epic monologue in Fleabag about what it is to be a woman absolutely nails it.
The Wee Ruffled Feathers Club is a creative place where we can talk openly about all the things which affect our emotions, patience, and sense of calm. A welcoming space to find our way through all the beautiful, messy, tender and sometimes downright turbulent stages of life in a female body. From menstruation to motherhood, or the choice to be childfree, from fertility and infertility, to perimenopause, menopause and everything beyond, our bodies and lives are constantly changing. Sometimes our feathers get ruffled. Our calm is disrupted, our wellbeing wobbles, and we find ourselves flying through incredibly stormy skies.
The Wee Ruffled Feathers Club is a space to gather, create, connect and feel less alone. A place where we can share stories, explore our experiences, express ourselves creatively and hold space for one another with kindness, curiosity and compassion. No need to have it all figured out. No need to keep it together. Just come as you are, with your ruffled feathers and all. Because sometimes, what we need most is a little creativity, a little connection and a whole lot of women who just get it. Let’s find our way back to ourselves, together.
Our first gathering will be on Zoom on Sunday 15th November at 5pm (Central European Time). To join, just click the Zoom link here on the day (no sign up required). Feel free to bring along a poem of yours you would like to share, or if you want to just sit back, relax and listen, with your camera off or on, that´s absolutely fine too.
I’ll see you there.
